Final Reflection

1)   This semester was definitely one to remember. Going through my blog, most of the exercises that were required are ones I’m going to remember in the future. The highs, lows and everything in between was part of the experience and necessary as the course advanced.
2)   The most formative experience was talking to an entrepreneur. He had great advice and life lessons that are going to stick with me for years. It was nice knowing the struggles and the mistakes other people did in the past and how they got through them. Usually, when I fail I feel like it is the end of the world and that I am the only one that fails but hearing that an entrepreneur had many failed experiences makes me feel like I’m not doing so bad. Another experience that I will remember for years was the “Free Money” exercise. This was memorable because of the reactions people took and the unexpected outcome. The most joyous experience was “Celebrating Failure” exercise. This was the most joyous experience because you learn that failure is not always a bad thing and you learn to accept it. The experiences that I’m most proud of myself for accomplishing are the “Customer interviews.” I’m proud of conducting these interviews because it was out of my comfort zone and it allowed me to view other people’s perspectives.
3)   I do not see myself as an entrepreneur, this is because I think I still have a lot more to experience and have confidence in myself to pursue or innovate a business concept. I do feel I have moved closer to developing an entrepreneurial mindset. These exercises have thought me a lot and have made me see things from a different perspective and have taught me not to give up.
4)   One recommendation I would make to the students who are going to journey down this path in the future is to be persistent. I would recommend they keep a planner or agenda to stay on top of deadlines and assignments. To foster an entrepreneurial mindset, I would recommend having a vision and sticking to it no matter what happens.

  1. Daniela,
I really like how positive you were about this class, even though you don't plan on becoming an entrepreneur. I feel the same exact way! I agree with you when you say that these assignments have taught you a lot. As much as I complained about some, the assignments are ones that I will remember. I like how we are able to keep this blog forever. Looking back on these posts will is definitely something I see myself doing in the near future. Great post! Good luck with the rest of your journeys!

Being a well planner can definitely help the students who take this course in the future . Good recommendation! Though you may not feel like being an entrepreneur at this moment, I believe there are some ideas embedded into your mind after this semester. Good luck! 3. Hey,
I agree with you for the most part. Just like you said, the most formative experience for me was talking to the entrepreneur too. I learned a lot from her and it’s always good to get some feedback from somebody with hands on experience. I gave very similar advice, staying on top of the assignments and having a strong, clear vision.
