The biggest surprise from the reading was the
unique way social media star-ups are finding ways of generating revenue. It
was surprising to see all the models that one could use to generate revenue
using social media. I did not find a topic confusing in the chapter; I felt
everything was straightforward with good descriptions that were easy to follow.
If I were able to ask the author two questions they would be, how do you target
people that are not into technology or do not use technology, mainly with older
generations? The second question would be how crucial is marketing research to
a new business joining the market? Is the business able to be successful
without having done marketing research? I would ask these questions because it
was a topic the chapter went into great detail about. I do not believe the
author was wrong about anything stated in the chapter. I also do not disagree
with anything that was said.
